driver overstay issues
If a motorist has overstayed their duration, you will collect twice the hourly rate at which the parking spot was reserved at.
As a host, you have the ability to contact the motorist and have them move the car immediately.
If you absolutely need your parking spot, you must wait 30 minutes after the reservation has expired to have a vehicle towed.
If you need the vehicle towed immediately, please contact the Drivewayz support team for further assistance.
Please contact the motorist through our app to kindly ask them to move their vehicle.
If a motorist has stayed longer than 30 minutes, you will begin to collect twice the previously listed hourly rate, or you may have the vehicle towed. Before you tow a vehicle, please contact the Drivewayz customer support team to see if we can provide further assistance.
If a motorist has not paid for a booking extension and still remains parked in your spot, please refer to the “Motorist Has Overstayed Their Duration” section.
Please contact the motorist and kindly ask them to move their vehicle.
You may continue to collect twice the previously determined hourly rate. If you need to access your parking spot and a vehicle is in their overstay period, you must wait 30 minutes prior to having the vehicle towed.
If you must access your parking spot prior to the booking, please kindly message the motorist and have them move their vehicle until their reservation officially begins.
If the motorist arrives over 30 minutes prior to their booking and you absolutely need access to your parking spot, please contact the Drivewayz customer support team to see if we can assist you before you tow the vehicle.
If there is currently a reservation in place, you have the ability to contact the motorist. If the motorist consents to moving their vehicle, you will be charged a $5.00 fee and the motorist will be refunded.
If the motorist does not provide consent to moving their vehicle, unfortunately, you must wait until the reservation has ended in order to gain access to your parking spot once again. Please continue to update your availability so this issue does not happen again.
Keep in mind, motorists have the ability to leave reviews on your parking spot and this may negatively affect your future parking revenue. For an emergency or other issue requiring the use of your spot, please contact Drivewayz so we can assist you.
